Our Programs

Blossom House programs are led by community coordinators who offer their time and talents. Blossom House program coordinators, volunteers/instructors and board members all receive a specialized trauma-informed training taught by Blossom House Co-founder, TIumalu Ali’i Jody Hassel.

Blossom House is proud to host ‘Yoga Service Project Alaska’ which provides yoga services to isolated populations. Currently we offer trauma-sensitive yoga to the youth at the Fairbanks Youth Facility where we have provided programming for a decade.

We have provided yoga in a variety of settings (residential treatment centers, correctional facilities, health and wellness fairs) If you are interested in teaching yoga with us or receiving a class, please contact us!

Breadcrumbs Theater Troupe practices and shares the art of Playback theater as well as elements of Theater of the Oppressed. Both Playback and TO are types of applied theater which encourage audience participation and storytelling. In Playback, audience members are invited to share a story about themselves which is then ‘played back’ to them on the spot.

TO was developed by Augusto Boal and engages the audience in techniques that allow the exploration of social justice in order to cultivate real and sustainable change and healing. Breadcrumbs has worked with with youth and adults in a variety of settings and is excited for the return of their master conductor, Sarah Finnell Gross this year (Summer of 2026).

Ch’eno’ Polynesian Arts hopes to honor the Lower Tanana Dene whose lands they inhabit by practicing and sharing their Polynesian arts and culture with the Fairbanks community. They are proud Pinoys and hope to honor their ancestors respectfully. Ch’eno offers dance classes/workshops/gatherings that provide opportunities to learn more about the rhythm and culture of their ancestors.

The Midnight Sun Break Fest started in 2007 as an annual event at the Downtown Midnight Sun Solstice Festival. Organizers planned and hosted a day long break dancing contest that brought folks from far and wide to the annual downtown festival to watch and participate. MSB members have also taught break dancing at the Fairbanks Youth Facility and to youth around Alaska. While MSB doesn’t happen every summer, organizers hope to cultivate an appreciation for break dancing, and dance in general. MSB is about bringing community together and sharing a love for breaking culture and celebrating dance and movement. For more information, please contact JJ Laserna sixtybelow@gmail.com
