About

Our Story

Blossom House was established in 2014 born from a shared vision between two friends who desired to create opportunities for community healing. They sought to create trauma-informed healing modalities that reflected the transformative practices they had personally experienced while on their own journeys of healing and trauma recovery. The goal was to provide healing modalities that were accessible to everyone, especially those who needed them the most.

During the pandemic Blossom House was shut down and our efforts were put on a temporary hold. We were able to continue to deliver trauma-sensitive yoga to the youth facility and to hold space for a few special events and community gatherings, but for the most part we’ve been taking some time to regroup and recenter. Now, in 2026, we are back in action and re-engaging with our community.

We are seeking funding opportunities and collaborations that will help us to promote our mission which is to cultivate resilient communities through trauma-informed wellness and arts-based offerings. We currently have grants from Native Movement and the Alaska Mental Health Trust that are supporting Breadcrumbs Theater Troupe as well as program offerings at the Fairbanks Youth Facility (trauma-sensitive yoga, dance and playback theater)
